ROBERT TISDALE Obituary
Mr. Tisdale was in the Navy from 1942 until 1945. He then attended and graduated from Multnomah School of the Bible in Portland, Oregon, and later from Western Washington College in 1952.
He was a 5th grade school teacher for 30 years in Mt. Vernon, Washington.
While stationed in Washington during his Navy years, he met and later married Twylah Kimble on June 17, 1952. They had 3 sons: George, Bobby and Mark.
Mr. Tisdale was an active member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, and after moving to Gresham, Oregon in 1996, he became active in Wood Village Baptist Church.
Mr. Tisdale is survived by his wife of 60 years; sons George (Brenda) of Houston, Texas, and Mark (Judy) of Gresham, Oregon; and grandchildren Elizabeth, Jonathan, Mary Grace, Ethan, Matt, Tori and Jessica.
His son Bobby preceded him in death in 1972.
A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1515 E. College Way, Mt. Vernon, WA, on Saturday, January 19, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be sent to Y D Adventures, P.O. Box 486, Burlington, WA 98233, in memory of Robert Tisdale.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. It breaks my heart to say good-bye to such a wonderful husband, father, uncle, teacher, and friend. I have so many wonderful memories of our times together. Bob was a true blessing to any individual he met. Although not related, it always felt like we were family. Bob was truly a 2nd father figure in my life and I am grateful that he was a part of Kristin's life as well. I pray that God's love and everlasting peace will continue to embrace each of you during this time.

I had Mr. Tisdale as my 5th grade teacher in 1979 and what a man he was and a great teacher. With my deepest sympathy in your loss, I will remember him always.
