I am devastated! As the youngest of 12 in my immediate family, I'm no stranger to familial loss but Bill Monahan's passing ranks near the top for the empty feeling one gets when they lose a loved one.
I first met him when my sister Peggy brought him to Cheboygan to meet my family in 1955. He fit in like a hand in a glove from the "get go"! He was a great attribute to my family and, more importantly, was an outstanding husband and father with his family. There is an end though and to say he will be missed by many, is gross understatement!

We're saddened to learn of the passing of the Patriarch of the great Monahan Dynasty. Although we never met him, we're sure he must have been an A+ gent to have fathered such a great collection of offspring -- son Joe, being our connection. Joe, you must feel very proud and content with the love and care that you shared with you parents during your weekly visits. Be assured that many happy thoughts and good wishes are accompanying Dad Bill on his journey home and, until we meet, may God hold him gently in the palm of His hand.
