I am devastated! As the youngest of 12 in my immediate family, I'm no stranger to familial loss but Bill Monahan's passing ranks near the top for the empty feeling one gets when they lose a loved one. I first met him when my sister Peggy brought him to Cheboygan to meet my family in 1955. He fit in like a hand in a glove from the "get go"! We're saddened to learn of the passing of the Patriarch of the great Monahan Dynasty. Although we never met him, we're sure he must have been an A+ gent to have fathered such a great collection of offspring -- son Joe, being our connection.
