Robert E. Wescott

Pittsgrove, N.J. Robert E. Wescott, age 73 of Pittsgrove, formerly of Glassboro, died Friday, September 30, 2022, in Cooper Hospital in Camden. Robert was a wonderful husband, brother, father, and Pop-Pop. He attended Glassboro State College and was a lab technician for DuPont Chambers Works in Deepwater for 42 years. He was a member of the Millville Army Airport Museum and DuPont Pensioners. He loved photography, traveling, NASCAR, baseball, and music. He was an avid ship, plane, and train modeler. He enjoyed architectural design and building. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Marie Susan (nee Wilson) Wescott; five children, Kimberly Mercer, Jennie Stachiotti, Kevin Graham, Carisa Wescott, and Lindsay Melon; nine grandchildren, Joey, Garrett, Alex, T.J., Melanie, Elijah, Logan, Alyssa, and Cole; five great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Marjorie Fleming and Mary Nigi. He was predeceased by his parents, Evan Wescott Jr. & Phyllis (nee Wetzel) Wescott; and his brother, Kevin Wescott. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Sunday, October 9th in the H.T. Layton Funeral Home, 102 S. Main St., Woodstown, where friends are invited to visit from 10 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow the funeral service in Olivet Cemetery in Pittsgrove.
