Brian Thellen Obituary

Brockton Brian D. Thellen, 39 years, of Brockton died unexpectedly March 17, 2008, at Boston Medical Center. He was the everlasting, loving and devoted husband of Kendra L. (Nash) Thellen. He was born in Lowell, a cherished son of Sheryl L. (Ducharme) DiGiovanni and her husband Dominic of Brockton. Brian was raised and educated in Brockton and was a 1986 graduate of Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical High School. Following graduation, he started his apprenticeship as an electrician. At the time of his death, Brian was a Journeyman electrician for Professional Electrical Contractors of Norwood. Previously, he had worked for 20 years at the former CES Electric. Brian was an avid NASCAR fan, who enjoyed watching races in his Mantown room with a glass of DiSarono. He enjoyed football, golfing, fishing and camping with his family. But first and foremost, Brian believed his family always came first. In addition to his wife and parents, he was the loving and inspirational Dad to his children, Kyle, Matthew and Cody Thellen, all of Brockton; deeply loved brother of Renae Brown and her husband Michael Keith and Stuart Thellen and his wife Patti, all of Brockton; son-in-law of Ruth Nash of Brockton and Kenneth W. Nash of Florida; brother-in-law of Tammy Bibby of East Bridgewater; Patti Thellen and Kenny Nash Sr., both of Brockton. He also leaves his maternal grandparents, Paul and Therese Ducharme of Lowell; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He also leaves to mourn his loss, his extended work family at Professional Electrical Contractors of Norwood and former CES Electric. Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont St. (Rte. 123), Brockton, Friday at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral blessing at Christ the King Parish/St. Colman Church at 9 a.m. Burial at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Visiting hours Thursday 2-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brians name may be made to The Kyle, Matthew and Cody Thellen Scholarship Fund, c/o The Community Bank, 276 Quincy St., Brockton, MA 02302. This fund was established through the generosity of Professional Electrical Contractors, Norwood. For condolences and directions, www.conleyfuneralhome.com.

Kendra,
What can be said? In a million years I could never have imagined this for you, not once. Everyone who is close to you and your family knows how much Brian loved you and your boys. Family man, through and through. You can rely on your friends in this dark time, now and in two weeks, and in two months, we'll be here.

To my best Friend,
Words aren't enough, .. Brian filled our lives with his smile and giving spirit. From the first time I met him 20 years ago he was always such a good friend to Jeff and I, and then to my kids. We will always carry the wonderful memories in my heart. He loved you and the boys so much, you could see it in the way he looked at you. He will always be watching over you. If you ever need me, Im here for you and the boys. He will be missed so much. My deepest sympathies..

Kendra and family,
Sorry for your terrible loss. Brian had touched so many lives. We'll miss that incredible smile and personality that went with it. I will especially miss him harrassing me when ever I called Ed at work. I can hear him saying," why do you call him so much? My wife never bothers me at work." Another great one was, " Did you have that damn baby yet? " I know Brian touched many hearts, and will be in ours forever. Love ED and Tina Butler and Family.

Kendra, Kyle, Matty, and Cody,
It seems like just yesterday Kyle walked into my 4th grade classroom and since I've had the pleasure of having Matty and Cody, too. I knew right away what special boys they were and what a terrific family they had. It was an honor to teach the boys and to work with such amazing dedicated parents that made my job easy. I am shocked to hear of your loss and I make myself available if you need anything here at the school. You all have a special angel looking out for you and I hope that gives some comfort at this time.

Words cannot express our grief and sympathy for your loss. We can only reflect and be happy that we had the privilege of knowing and enjoying Brian’s company during his mortal stay with us. It was an honor to be by his side during one of the best days of his and my life, a memory I will and have always kept with me. I will never forget his smile and humor. Even though he was with us for far too little time, he made an impact on people much more than he may have known. Hopefully we can comfort his family and friends in their time of sorrow as much as he would do for any of us. Brian, you will always be with us.
