Rosemary Gazerro

Rosemary (Avery) Gazerro, of Bridgewater, passed away on July 13, 2021, at the age of 87. She was the daughter of the late Mary (Kent) and Harold Avery. Rosemary was born and raised in Vermont. She then moved to Massachusetts where she would raise her nine children throughout the South Shore. Rosemary went on to attend Massasoit Community College and graduated with an Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy at the age of 55. She was a proud member of the Respiratory Team at Brockton Hospital until her retirement. Rosemary settled with her daughter in Bridgewater in 1996 and called it home from then on. Rosemary was blessed with loving sons-in-law and daughters-in-law who made beautiful families with her children, and cared for her like she was their own mother. Rosemary was a very loving woman who cared for everyone around her. She was friendly and generous. Rosemary enjoyed reading, jig-saw puzzles and crossword puzzles. When Jeopardy came on you were subtly asked to leave. She gave her undivided attention to Alex Trebek. Facebook gave her the opportunity to keep up with everyone and cheer on every accomplishment. The family wishes to thank all of her 109 friends on Facebook, that kept up with her and commented, sent her love, or laughed at her silly posts. Above all, she loved being with all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Rosemary was the loving mother of Debra Belloli and her husband Thomas of Bridgewater, Tina Metzler and her husband Robert of Marshfield, Frank A. Gazerro and his wife Valerie of Brockton, Mary Deveau and her husband Daniel of Plymouth, Alfred Gazerro and his wife Sheila of E. Bridgewater, Joseph Gazerro and his wife Elizabeth of Middleboro, Donald Gazerro of Bridgewater, Lori Murphy and her husband William of Hull, and Lynn ODonnell and her husband Michael of Hull. She was also the proud Grandmother of 19, and Great-Grandmother of 16. She leaves many nieces, nephews and her best friend Elizabeth Lays. Visiting hours for Rosemary will be held on Thursday, July 22 from 4 p.m.-7 p.m., at Chapman Funerals & Cremations - Bridgewater, 98 Bedford St. A funeral home service will start at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 23.
