Mr. Baker,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served with the U.S. Army in Europe during WW II fighting the Germans with the "Screaming Eagles"-the 101st Airborne Division. The 101st fought over 60 days in combat in Holland from September 17, 1944 when the jumped into Holland to around the end of November in some of the worst conditions imaginable. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Dear Particia,
I was deeply saddened to hear that Chester had passed away.
I know this past year had been difficult for him.
I am so sorry for your loss. He was a good man and I appreciate all that he did for my uncle.
I felt badly that I missed the services.
May your sadness diminish with time and remember he will always be alive in your heart.
Sincerely,
Amanda Bruce

Uncle Chet, your easy smile and pipe tobacco kisses will be warmly remembered always. I'll remember swimming in the pool, exploring in the woods and splitting the last chicken wing at Christmas! I'll miss you.
Your loving nephew, Frank
