Joanne T. Lund

1947 - 2016

Joanne T. (Barrett) Lund, entered eternal life suddenly on April 4, 2016. Joanne was born February 18, 1947, and raised in Dorchester, Joanne graduated from Saint Patrick School and later moved to New Hampshire after marrying Ronald Lund Sr. of Everett. Joanne became a mother after the birth of her daughter, Dawn Elizabeth and later her son, Ronnie. Joanne and Ronald raised their family in Kittery Point, Maine, where she was employed as town clerk for the town of Kittery. She enjoyed working in the youth ministry program at St. Raphaels in Kittery and assisted with numerous town civic organizations including scouting, sports and boosters. Joanne enjoyed volunteering at the Nubble Lighthouse Gift Shop. Joanne later returned to Massachusetts to care for her mother and began a career with Boston Financial Data Services in Quincy, where she worked for 17 years. Joanne loved to travel to visit relatives in Canada and made lasting memories through her daily adventures. When not travelling she was spending quality time with family and friends. Joanne shared a presence of happiness to everyone she touched and was deeply adored by all who knew her. Joanne is survived by her brother, James Barrett and his wife Patricia of Weymouth, along with their children Amy Collette, Jamie Barrett and Julianne Barrett Alexander and several nephews and nieces. She is also survived by her daughter, Dawn Brady and husband Richard of Seabrook, New Hampshire, along with their children, Ricky, Joshua and Ginnelle; her son, Ronald Lund Jr. of Sanford, Maine, and his children, Ashlynn and Ronnie. Joanne was predeceased by her parents, James and Mary Jeanette Barrett, and her grandson, Ryan Brady. A funeral Mass will be held Monday, April 11, 2016, at 11 a.m. at St. Ann Church, 757 Hancock Street, Quincy. Arrangements are being handled by Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, Weymouth, 781-337-1414.
