So sorry to hear of your moms passing. Have a lot of good memories of her when growing up and over the years. Still have a mug she gave me and a bread recipe that gets a good workout every once in a while. Hope all goes well for all of you and you always remember the good things. I as so sorry to hear of Jo's passing. I have very fond memories of her as a child growing up. There was always a pot of sauce on the stove,She loved to feed everyone. I remember the day she bought a freezer and my mother and I went to see it. She said to my mother , oh for god sakes Helen, it is in the living room of course, When you get a new piece of furniture, you want to show it off, and what better place than the living room.
I remember her and my mother sewing dresses to save money back in the day when no one had any money.
She had a great sense of humor.
One day my mother and I went to visit her and she had Lucia (or as my mother used to call her LITTLE CHAIR), come out from her bedroom and model her new winter coat that was atleast six sizes to big for. My mother was shocked to see such a big coat on such a little girl, and Jo said, HELEN, she will grow into it, with these hard times as they are we musn't waste any money. It looks just fine. We all cracked up, and it just seemed to make sense. Everything Jo said made sense, or atleast she made you think it all made sense. I LOVED HER, she was a great friend to my mother. I have great memories of her that will always remain until such time that I meet her again. Sincerely Joan BLACKMAN (Curtin) (DiRamio )

I have so many fond memories of Mrs Bastey and many laughs as I was growing up.I got the chance to visit her at Marina Bay a few years ago and we talked about my long hair which I eventually let her cut (but not too short).About her love for her kids, grand kids and great grand kids. Then there were the meals.Such great meals and I was always stuffed when I left the table and she would always pack more for the "in case you get a little hungry on the way home".
she left a lasting impression with me and I'm sure with many other people.Rest in peace Mrs.Bastey.May God watch over you and take care of you.

With much love,

Don Boyle

So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Although it has been many years, I still have such fond, wonderful and funny memories of times spent at your house. Your mother was such a beautiful person and I am honored and very privileged to have known her. She had such a way of making everyone feel so special, so loved and so welcomed into her home. Always plenty of food on the table - and many, many laughs. Such a special woman! My sincere condolences to her family.
