To The Flannery Family,
I met Red eleven years ago. I had some granite and he had a buyer. That one bsiness transaction turned into a great freindship. I do not think that two weeks would go by without Red calling me or me calling Red.We did alot of business together met for lunch about once a month,and played golf from time to time.He would always tell me how lucky he was to have such a wonderful family. I would respond with I think that family is blessed to have such a great father like you.I will miss him drarly
If there are cobblestones and granite curb in heaven, Red will be selling it.

Dear Carol and family. I am so sorry for your loss. Red was a wonderful man. I can still see him sitting next to Nana McGrail and telling her one of his many stories and having Nana laughing so hard with him. Red will be missed by all who knew him. God Bless him and all of you!

Dear Carol,
I was very sorry to hear from my sister, Maureen, of Red's passing. He was such a beloved and positive person with a fantastic smile. I am sorry not to be there but I just had more skin cancer surgery....something Red and I always commesurated about. It's tough being Irish and a redhead as we both formerly were. His love of family and his faith were unwavering. He was taken much too soon.
As an Irish poet once wrote: "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; love leaves a memory no one can steal". May all the wonderful memories you have of Red and your family bring you some small measure of comfort during this most difficult time.

I attended Assumption College with Red's daughter, Denise. I have such fond memories of Red and Carol. My deepest sympathies go out to the Flannery family. Red was truly an amazing man who loved his family to pieces! May God bless you during this difficult time. You're in my thoughts and my prayers.

You hear "they broke the mold after you" the fact is, there was never a mold for Red. Red is a one in a million that could never be replicated. He will forever bring a smile to the faces of those of us that have been blessed to have known him.
The Angels have a great man on their team now.

Red was one of those positive characters that brightened people's lives. When God looked after Red through his illnesses, He wasn't giving Red the gift of life so much as giving us the gift of Red.

Red was a big part of my families life. I enjoyed all chats with him on the phone, sitting at my kitchen table listening to all his positive words of wisdom.. He was such an inspiration to my Dad and the best friend he could have ever asked for.. He was a wonderful man, a role model as a husband, a father, a grandfather, a friend ,and neighbors. I just learned of Bob's death. We sat together at the academy. He was a great guy from the day I met him there and yes he was very proud of Southie. He has been taken too soon. May he rest in peace!
