Sheila B. Dwyer

Sheila B. Dwyer, of Pembroke, passed away in the company of her family on August 12, 2016, after an ongoing battle with pulmonary fibrosis. The youngest daughter of Daniel J. and Marguerite F. O'Connell (both deceased) of Boston, sister of the late Daniel J. O'Connell, she is survived by her sisters Judy Hamilton of Florida, Franni Brandt of Plymouth, and Denise Najarian of Hanover. The better half of Steven J. Dwyer, they were married for 47 years. She leaves behind two sons, Steven J. Dwyer Jr. and his wife Emily of Milton, Shane Dwyer and Keri Anne Hackett of Pembroke, and a daughter, Shannon Sullivan and her husband Daniel of Pembroke. She was the fun-loving Nana of Collin, Madyn, Macklin, Jamison, and Willa. She was also the cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. In her most fulfilling job, she was a teachers aid at the North River Collaborative. From Hawaii to Florida, she flew and road tripped around the US with her husband, family and friends. She enjoyed many rounds of golf at both Halifax and Pembroke Country Clubs. Making everyone feel like an old friend was one of her many gifts. Her family and friends will miss her dearly. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 24th at 9 a.m. at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover St., Rte 139 in Hanover. Visiting hours omitted.
