Alan WHITESIDE Obituary

WHITESIDE, Alan A. "Bud" (Age 77) Al passed away January 20, 2019 at Sacred Heart Hospital. He was born in Yakima, WA on December 12, 1941 to Harry and Maude Whiteside. He grew up in Spokane. His family called him Bud because his older sister could not say brother. He graduated from North Central High School in 1959 and EWSC (EWU) in 1966. He worked three years in Coeur d' Alene at a CPA firm. In 1969 he started working at Eastern Washington University. Al was a budget officer for many years and moved to the Purchasing Office as director in 1992. He retired in 1997. Al and Kathy Cunningham married July 9, 1977. They moved to Cheney in 1982. Al loved driving his 1930 model A pickup and 1926 model T roadster. He participated in the Montana 500 Race for model T's in June 2015. He had a wonderful time. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Kathy, daughter Elaine Woods and her children Conner, Trevor, Katie and Claire, sons Steve Whiteside and Tom Whiteside, sisters Marcia Olsen and Connie Whiteside. No service will be held at his request.
