Janice ANDERSON

1946 - 2023

Janice Rose (Marsh) Anderson, 77, of Spokane, WA, entered into rest on the morning of September 13, 2023, in the presence of family.

Born September 6, 1946, in Spokane, WA, to Weber and Christel Marsh. She later met and married Laverne Anderson in May 1975, and they began their life together in Spokane, WA. Together they welcomed three children into their family and were later blessed with four grandchildren.

Janice was a Court Clerk for the Spokane County District Court system for 25 years. She worked with numerous judges during her career.

Janice was a lifetime member of Central Lutheran Church and participated in numerous church activities. She was involved in making Lefse for the Church bazaar and also assisted in providing activities for the youth group. Janice liked to exercise and walked every day when the weather allowed. She was an avid reader and Mariner's fan. She loved fall sports and enjoyed being on the sidelines watching the grandkids play. She also found pleasure in watching and cheering on the Seahawks and Zags. Janice always looked forward to summers camping at Luby Bay on Priest Lake and appreciated time with family and friends around the campfire. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. They played many games, walked, went to the park, and were generally entertained by Grandma.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Weber and Christel Marsh; brother, Wally Marsh; and granddaughter, Kiley Rose.

Janice was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Laverne Anderson; sisters, Carmen (Steve) Deal of Chewelah, WA, and Linda (Gene) Hodgden of Chewelah, WA; three children, daughters, Cheryl Link (Ron) of Otis Orchards, WA, and Karen Wynecoop (DeWayne), of Cheney, WA, and son, Brian (Shelley) Anderson of Spokane Valley, WA; as well as, three grandchildren, Saige and Spencer Anderson, and Connor Link.

Friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Janice at Central Lutheran Church in Spokane, WA. Her Memorial Service will be held at 1PM on Friday, September 29th. In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting Hospice of Spokane.
