Patrick RANKIN Obituary

RANKIN, Patrick Nicholas

Patrick left this world on Thursday January 18, 2018. During his 68 years. Patrick touched many lives and will be remembered for his eternal strength and deter- mination. He was born on September 2, 1949 in Newport, WA. He served his country in the US Marine Corps, and then went on to serve his community for over 34 years with the Spokane Valley Fire Department as a Firefighter and Lieutenant. When he retired from the Fire Department in 2005, he did so as the Fleet Operations Supervisor. With this position, he oversaw the acquisition and maintenance of all the fire apparatus, vehicles, and equipment for the department. In his free time, he enjoyed boating, camping, and snowmobiling. In his retirement, he loved to attend NASCAR races, watch the Green Bay Packers, and spend time at his condo in Mazatlán, Mexico. Patrick is survived by his loving wife Susan, sons Dennis and Kristopher, and a multitude of family and friends who will forever be grateful for the time they had together.
