Kathleen HALEY Obituary
News Death Notice
HALEY, Kathleen C. 76, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born on April 6, 1937 in Clark County the daughter of Allen and Mabel (Tuttle) Craig. She graduated from Northeastern High School class of 1955. A year after graduation she married her high school sweetheart, John Haley and they were Married for 57 years. Kathy worked at the Clark County Recorder's office for several years and later retired from the Northeastern Board of Education office after 35 years of service. She was an avid card player and would play cards "eight days a week" if she could. Kathy also was a talented seamstress and gardener. She always thought the best about people and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Kathy is survived by her husband John, one son, Michael Haley, one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and David Franzen all of Springfield; five grandchildren: , Krshta, Sarah, Julia, David Jr. and Daniel; ten great grandchildren, one sister and brother-in-law, Anna Lou and Roger Rebert of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Allen Craig. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, June 10, 2013 from 5-7:00 p.m. in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME where services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m., with the Reverend Charlotte Collins Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Fletcher Chapel Cemetery. You may express condolences at www.littletonandrue.com

Kathleen was very close to her family and never wanted to stay long with her city cousin! I loved going to her home on the farm as there was something new to do every day. The animals, the chores and good eating!
We were only a few months apart in age and felt like sisters.

John, Mike, Susan and family, I just learned this morning of the passing of Kathleen. Had I known I would have been there for you all. I have so many memories on the farm myself and with Brent. I will be holding you all in my heart and praying for your strength. Please know how much love I hold in my heart for you all! She was an amazing Wife, Mom and my neighbor for years! I was so sorry to learn of Kathy passing. What a wonderful person she was. Wherever she is I am sure there is a Euchre or Poker game going on. RIP Kathy.
