News Death Notice

SCHULER, Patricia Ann (Evans) passed away at the age of 84, on Monday, June 20, 2011. She was the daughter of Merle and Helen (Mechlin) Evans and graduated from Springfield High School in 1944. Patti worked for Ohio Bell Telephone Company for a number of years and retired from Snowhill Hair Fashions. Patti was a very compassionate and caring individual who dedicated her life to her family. They gave her comfort and strength throughout her whole life and especially during the last as she fought her disease. She was a lifetime member of First Christian Church and served as Sunday School Teacher to the children of the church. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Leland L. Schuler, as well as five children: Alan (Debbie) Schuler of Port Richey, Florida, Marc (Theresa) Schuler, Steve (Deana) Schuler, Pam (Bill) Beckett and Penny Carmosino, all of Springfield; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be Saturday from 10-11 AM. in the FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH, 3638 Middle Urbana Road. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 AM. in the church with Craig Grammer officiating. Burial to follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements have been entrusted to RICHARDS, RAFF & DUNBAR MEMORIAL HOME. The Schuler Family would like to say special thanks to the staff of Springfield Regional Medical Center, Villa of Springfield and Acclaim Hospice.
