Robert BOSTICK Obituary
News Death Notice
BOSTICK, Robert (Bob) 75, passed away Friday, August 8, 2014. He was born in Springfield May 15, 1939 to Nellie (Johnson) and Robert Bostick Sr. Bob was a self employed electrical contractor for over 50 years. He started a special partnership with Ronnie Pyles in 1983 which became Bostick and Pyles Electric. Bob was past president of the Springfield Electrical Contractor Association. Bob was a avid golfer for a number of years at Reid Park. He attended Springfield Area Emmaus Men's Walk # 31. Bob's Ordination of Deaconship was April 22, 2007 at Freedom Road Church. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 34 years; Janet (Gill) Bostick, three daughters and sons-in-law; Kathy Pyles (Dave) Calhoun, Springfield, Penny (George) Van Horn, Urbana, Rhonda (Rusty) Storts, Florida, two step daughters and sons-in-law; Margie (Rob) Parker and Tracie (Brian) Miller all of Springfield. Bob was "Grandpa Bob" to; Rena Pyles (Craig) Smith, Florida, Blair (Nicole) Pyles, Oak Hill, Ohio, Ronny Lynn Pyles (Mike) Closson, Springfield, Candy (Rick) Fisher, Dayton, Mandy Frederick, Springfield and Tyler Storts, Florida. Bob was "Paw Paw" to; Kellie Parker, Trace Parker and Parker Miller. Bob had 12 great grandchildren, brothers; Mike Bostick and Donald Bostick of Springfield. Bob leaves several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends including his "Burger King Gang", close friends; the McCrackens, the Brownings, the Fishers, the Williams, the Edmunds, the Huemmers, the Free's, members from Freedom Road Church, Charlie Mellott and React Outreach, "Hairball" and especially his New Hope Church Family. He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandsons; Jacob Storts and Mark Killin and two brothers; Richard Bostick and Stephen Bostick. Bob's family and friends think of him with a smile, always remembering his unique sense of humor. He truly was a special soul who had no idea just how many lives he touched. Visitation with family will be Wednesday August 13 at 6:00PM until 7:00PM. Memorial services will begin at 7:00PM at New Hope Church, 21 East Harding Road, Springfield, Ohio, 45504 with Pastor Kevin Moehn officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the JONES-KENNEY-ZECHMAN FUNERAL HOME.

Janet for twenty years, we were privelged to call you our neighbors! Not only did you and Bob watch our girls grow up, you watched Jason and I grow in our marriage. What greater role models could we have had, then you and Bob! The girls sat with us on Sunday evening as they talked about picking up the plums in your front yard as Bob made sure the BOYS were ok!
