Anthony Pellicci Obituary
Anthony F.X. Pellicci, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28th, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong resident of Stamford, Anthony was born on February 12, 1937. The son of the late Frank and Frances (Rubino) Pellicci.
Anthony leaves behind his beloved wife, Ann; his loving children, Anthony Pellicci and his wife Sandra, Michael Pellicci and his wife Darlene, Johna Garcia and her husband Wilder, Joseph Pellicci and his wife Wendy, Lauren Forte and her husband Matthew; his sisters, Frances Pellicci Gross and her husband Angelo Caminiti and Toni Pellicci Lupinacci and her husband Anthony; his adored grandchildren; Ashley, Isabella, Angelina, Olivia, Angelo, Anthony, Michael, Dylan, Joseph, Tyler, Peyton, Oliver and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Anthony is predeceased by his cherished brother, Joseph Pellicci.
Anthony had many names; husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, son, friend, boss...and today, a legend. We would like to thank him for everything he has done for us; his generosity was endless. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, infectious laugh and his brilliant artwork. We were blessed to have Anthony in our lives, he was the greatest piece of art. We will never forget his kindness, his stories, his delicious food and the effect he had on everyone he came across. His memory and legacy will live on forever through his beautiful family and a whole city (and beyond) who loved and cherished him so much.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 4th, 2014 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Entombment will take place at the Pellicci Family Mausoleum located at St. John's Cemetery, Darien, CT. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2014 from 3:00 - 9:00 PM at the Lacerenza Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 8 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Stamford Hospital or the Bennett Cancer Center, 30 Shelburne Road, Stamford, CT 06902.

We started going to Pellicci's - and loving it - for many years before we moved to Stamford in 1988. Anthony was always there greeting guests, and not only insuring that the meal was delicious but that it was also a enjoyable and relaxing experience.
My brother moved from CT to Texas ten years ago. When he returns for his annual visit, dinner at Pellicci's is a must. We will all miss Anthony's warm welcome, but know his creativity and memory will live on through his culinary legacy and the restaurant that was so much a part of his life.

When I was pregnant with my only child I would have a graving for a Pellicci caesar salad and would make sure I ordered ahead of time as I battled the traffic from White Plains.
15 years later I can still recall the taste and the Pellicci treating as I walked thru the doors to get my salad. My son to this day loves cesear salad and I think that it was because I ate so much of it. I was never able to duplicate the recipe at home. To a large extend I owe my gratitude to Anthony Pellicci for fostering my son made from his own restaurant. Our thoughts are with you. Sue Rich, Max and Mitchell Mailman.

He made Gramps 70th b/d party so special last Oct. and sooo many of the Gardner family's events over 50 years a pure delight. Together we went to Stevens school and I remember your smiling face of the picture that you showed me which we had taken in the 2nd grade! My first memory of Anthony was 44 years ago when I was a first grader at Sacred Heart School. We were thrilled that we had a pizza Friday and he made the delivery with his big smile. He was a gentleman. Long live the bandana!

Anthony Pellicci was a wonderful person and I'm so very sorry to the entire Pellicci to hear of him passing away, he will be remembered and missed by many. I would often eat at Pellicci's since I was kid because the food is so wonderful to this very day and what stands out is how kind Anthony always was to everyone, he would go the extra mile for the customers but even more than that I can honestly say how kind he was, the way he treated people, I often would see Anthony treating the people who work at Pellicci's as if they were family because that is the kind of wonderful person Anthony Pellicci was which reflected the love of Christ. I remember going to Pellici's after 3-11, and Anthony always there, smiling, welcoming. I remember you coming back to the dorm saying you were dating him, then sporting an engagement ring, and then the long and happy marriage.
