Benito Nino Obituary

Benito Di Nino
Benito Di Nino of Stamford, Connecticut passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the age of 93. He was surrounded by endless love of his wife Angelina and family by his side.
Benito was born in Alanno, Italy on March 17, 1928, to father Sabatino Di Nino and mother Concietta ColAngelo. He was the fifth child of eleven and worked on his family's farm tending to animals, wheat, grapes and olives as a young man while his older brothers fought in WWII. His tireless work ethic and drive to care for his family led him to begin his journey to achieve the "American Dream" with his wife and two young sons. They started their life to new beginnings in Stamford, CT on September 15,1966 with the support and guidance of his in-laws, Giacomo and Gemma Dicamillo.
Benito never turned down a chance to work, in an effort to provide for the future, with an enduring hope to give his family opportunities he was never granted. He retired from Pepperidge Farm and shared his passion of gardening with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. We will carry on his legacy of family devotion, hard work and being a good neighbor forever in our hearts. He is survived by his wife Angelina Di Nino of 68 years; children Ennio and Giuliano Di Nino (Amy); grandchildren Ennio Jr., Reina (Francesco Lopedota), Katie, Julia and Gina Di Nino; and great-granddaughters Penelope and Aurora Lopedota; and niece Nadia Gabrielli (Maurizio).
A visitation for Benito will be held Tuesday, August 24th, from 5pm to 8pm at the Bosak Funeral Home, 453 Shippan Ave, Stamford, CT 06902. All are invited to attend. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 25th at 10am at St. Mary's Parish, 566 Elm St, Stamford, CT 06902. Entombment to follow at St. John's Cemetery in Darien, CT.
People wishing to honor Benito's lifelong commitment to family and community can make donations in loving memory to Fairgate Farm Inc, 40 Clinton Avenue Stamford, CT, 06901 or the Alzheimer's Association at https://act.alz.org/donate
