Harry E. Macdowell

Harry E. Retired Tool and Die Maker Passed away peacefully Sunday morning September 24, 2000 with his loving family by his side. Harry was born December 20, 1925 in Elmira, NY, son of the late Everett and Addie Jones MacDowall. He married Helen Doty on December 29, 1939. Harry was formerly employed at American LaFrance and later at the Corning Glass Works as a Tool and Die Maker until his retirement. He loved animals and nature and was an avid fisherman and hunter. Harry is survived by his wife, Helen MacDowall; his children, Russell MacDowell of Southport, Roger MacDowall of Elmira, Rita (Dennis) Grinnell of Southport and Flora (Willis) Cunnagin of London, KY; twelve grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In honoring Harry's wishes, visitation and funeral services will be private and held at the families convenience with the Reverend Richard Price officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
