Niels Miller

Niels A longtime resident of the Watkins Glen area, died September 2, 2006 at his home. He is survived by his sister, Joyce Sanderson of Iowa; nephews Dean (Dolli) of Wisconsin, and Greg (Beverly) of Iowa; along with several grandnieces and grandnephews; and his beloved cats. He will be greatly missed by relatives and his many, many friends. Niels was a multitalented person, a fabulous actor, dancer, singer and teacher. He was also a professional chef. In his professional career he was active on both sides of the Atlantic, including teaching, directing and acting for eight years in Amsterdam, Holland and at numerous theaters on the East Coast including Massachusetts, New York (including the Broadway stage) and also has film credits. He was an avid reader and movie buff, and was known for his love of animals. There will be a Niels Miller Memorial Theater Library Dedication next year in Ft. Myers, Florida, where he preformed for many years within Florida's repertory Theater. A Memorial Tribute will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2006, at his property on 2511 County Route 21. The Reverend George Smith will officiate.
