Jacob Pratt Obituary

CHESTERTOWN - Jacob Thomas Pratt of Chestertown passed away at his home on Friday, Nov. 3, 2017. He was 14.
Born on Oct. 25, 2003, in Dothan, Ala., Jacob was the son of Shelley Herman Heller and his stepfather Peter Heller Jr. of Chestertown; and his father, Thomas Pratt and stepmother Caroline Nichols Pratt from Wiesbaden, Germany.
Jacob attended Immaculate Conception School in Elkton. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and building, flying his drones and spending time with all of his many friends.
In addition to his parents, Jacob is survived by his brother, James H. Pratt of Chestertown; his sister, Madison Pratt of Wiesbaden, Germany; grandparents James and Sheila Herman of Betterton, Jay and Bonnie Pratt of Millington, Sally Nichols of Dover, Del., Peter Heller and his partner Martha Rasin of Chestertown and Helen Morrison of California; great-grandmother Mary Herman of Betterton; aunts Jody Nicholson of Betterton and her former husband John Nicholson and Sonja Warner and her husband Harris of Salisbury; uncles Jay Fletcher Pratt III of Bridgeville, Del., Rob Pratt of Millington and Bill Pratt of Kenton, Del.
Friends and family may call 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at Fellows Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, 130 Speer Road, Chestertown, where a celebration of Jacob's life will begin at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Jacob T. Pratt Scholarship Fund of the Mid-Shore Community Foundation, 102 East Dover Street, Easton, MD 21601.

Jokingly,I said,"you could call him "Jake" and if he was born on November 10th, the Marine Corps Birthday. I would present him with a Marine K-Bar knife. You were close.
