Steven Kent Dolberg April 8, 1950-April 7, 2023 Steven Kent Dolberg, 72, of Gering, died peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Friday, April 7, 2023. Cremation was held and a graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff with Pastor Gary Hashley officiating. Bridgman Funeral Home and Cremation Service is entrusted to the arrangements. Steven was born on April 8, 1950, in Denver, CO. He graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1968. He worked as a Certified Medical Assistant and worked in the nursing field from 1971 until his retirement. He liked to visit and help people in any way he could. Steven's family was a big part of his life. Attending his grandchildren's birthday parties and caring for his Dad until he passed were examples of how he cared for others. Steven married Rodney Paul on October 12, 2015. They were together for 45 years. He is survived by his husband, Rodney Paul; son, Nathan (Kim) Dolberg (Afghanistan Veteran); 11 grandchildren, including 3 step-grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Wilburn Dolberg; daughter, Angela Contreras; granddaughter, Chantel Dolberg; and great-granddaughter, Ida Ball. May he rest in peace.
