Michael Webb Obituary
BRUNSWICK COUNTY -- PFC Michael David Webb, 22, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, December 1, 2011. Michael was the son of Michael Dean Webb, Sr., of Bennettsville, SC, and Tina Linne Prescott of Supply, NC. He is also survived by his grandmother; Margie Prescott, one sister; Elizabeth Withrow and husband Travis, and nephew; Devyn Prescott and niece; Ryle Withrow, all of Supply, NC. Michael was a proud soldier in the United States Army. He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at Coble Ward-Smith Supply Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM, at Highest Praise Church in Shallotte, NC. Interment to include full military honors, will follow at Silent Grove Cemetery, Supply, NC.

Thinking of you and remembering you as your birthday approaches tomorrow. I miss you calling at 2 in the am to have in depth conversations. I miss that. You're so beautiful. I went to see you today and I was still upset because there were things I wanted to explain to you. It was revealed to me that it didn't matter what was left unsaid because when you met Jesus he answered all the questions you may have had. It didn't matter what conversations were left undone for God knows our heart as in 1st Samuel 16 therefore everything was revealed to you...I miss you so much...I can still see you standing there smiling and sometimes you seemed so serious...The sky is bluer these days, clouds seem to form angels with the soft clouds...I know you are an angel who came to the earth to make a difference....

Florence, Thanks for sharing with me. Your friend's sacrifice on the part of this nation should be honored and I appreciate you honoring him with this token of generosity. PFC Webb is surely missed and I will toast him. It is on the backs of airmen, soldiers, sailors and marines that our nation remains free. Even when there is little news media coverage of it young Americans continue to sacrifice their lives in the defense of liberty and freedom. In honor of Mikey's birthday, I sent 30 troops a cup of coffee. Mike's beautiful smile still lives today as they will smile when they receive their cup of joe.. The following is the message sent to them:
I send this cup of coffee to you today in memory of my friend PFC Michael Webb. Today is his 23rd birthday. What I hold in my heart is his beautiful smile. So, this is not meant to be sad, but rather to celebrate his life. It is sent to you to carry on that beautiful smile by you enjoying your cup of joe and bringing a smile to your face today! I an deeply saddened about your loss. I want to express my condolences regarding your son. I am a surviving mother of Spc James J Pizzo Jr.. He was also stationed in Fort Riley Kansas and was found in his barracks on November 20th just a few weeks prior to your dear Micheal. I can truely say although answers have not been answered for us I can feel your pain. And as a "Gold Star Mother", I do know our children have been labeled as "Heros", for their war is finally over. And for our family the battle has just begun. Someone had Quoted to me,"Your tears will come in waves like the ocean" and I find at times even drowning.
