1965 - 2018

SURITA, Rita Jo Our beloved Rita Jo Surita, age 53, of Austin, Texas, went to be with our Lord on November 12, 2018. She was born in Austin, Texas to parents Benjamin and Erinqueta Galvan, along with sisters, Mary Ann Galvan, Josie Romero, Stella Galvan, Margaret Galvan, and Candy Galvan. She worked for AISD Food Service for 25 years at Johnston High School and A.L.C. as Food Service Manager. In addition, she worked for 42 years at Dart Bowl Café, making Austin's best burgers, migas, and enchiladas. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 37 years, Noel Reyes Surita; daughters Nicole Rae Ann Surita and Monick Noel Surita; grandchildren, Jayla Raquel Rocha and Pete Noel Gonzalez; and a host of other loving family and friends. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with Recitation of Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM, on Friday, November 16, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 17, 2018, all services to take place at Cook-Walden Funeral Home. Interment to immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Austin, Texas.
