To Mary and Bob, Jeanette and Caroline, my deepest sympathy to you all at Brad's passing. The Fickett's were a special family to us when they moved to Kaufman. I still think of them sitting in the pews at the First Methodist each Sunday morning and being with Sheri and Brad at MYF. My prayers are with you all.

To the Fickett family. We are thinking of you during this time of sadness. May God bless you and your family.

Words cannot express the loss we felt when the news came that Brad was no longer on this Earth with us. We are so glad we stopped by three weeks ago to visit with him and Jeanette. Our love and support are there for Jeanette and Caroline as they go through this difficult time. Showdogs won't quite be the same without Brad's physical presence and his affectionately calling me 'Poo' but we know he will be there in spirit.

My first impression of Brad was his giant poster of Dylan. How appropriate that you included a Dylan quote. Your relationship with Brad was always such a joy. It is such a tragedy that he passed away so young. I know you will miss him so much. Thank goodness you have such wonderful memories. I hope you can find some peace knowing that so many people care about Brad, Caroline, and you. Carol Dusek

Jeanette and Caroline we are so sorry to hear of Brad's passing . He was a great friend to my father and I always respected his kind and gentle nature and his lifelong love of you Jeanette. Your relationship was one I hope to emulate and I know y'all will meet up on the other side but until then I hope you can find some comfort in this tough loss of a great husband and father . We are thinking of y'all here in Iowa

I love that picture and I love that man, I love me some Fickett, and I know you will understand. I will miss him forever, and that is OK, I know he's in a better place than he was on Sunday. He had so many friends who thought he was the best, he was such a good man, he passed life's test. He will be missed by many, and that is true; Brad Fickett, Jeanette and Mary Caroline - we love you. AND WE WERE ALL SO LUCKY TO HAVE HAD BRAD IN OUR LIVES!!!!

My heart and my prayers are with you Jeanette, Caroline, your family, and all of us who love Brad. I can't be there in person, but I will be there in spirit for you always. Brad was one of a kind, and his memory will live on in all of our hearts. I know that you have the strength to get through this, and I hope you will find peace in knowing that he was loved so much by so many.

First of all, my thoughts and prayers go out to Jeanette, Caroline and family. Losing Brad was a difficult thing for us to accept. Even when you know something is coming, the loss was more than we could bear. Brad and Jeanette, along with two others (MJM and MAB), actually started the lifelong friendships made between the Kaufman and Waco clans. Brad was always the smartest one of the group, steady and consistent....caring and concerned. He loved his family and loved his friends. I valued his friendship more than he ever knew and loved him like a brother. This will take some getting used to but I know he's now pain free and probably sitting next to Darrell Royal talking about the missed extra point last Saturday. Brad's memory will be carried on and in my mind he will live forever. Adios, compadre.
