Thomas P. Gorman

   WOODBURN - Tom Gorman died November 6, at age 85. He was born March 10, 1922, in New Castle, Nebraska. His family moved to the Woodburn area in 1937 from his childhood home in Timber Lake, South Dakota. He graduated from Mt. Angel College in 1942. During World War II, he served as a staff sergeant in the United States Army. Following post-graduate work at Creighton University, he returned home to Woodburn to begin a career in the agricultural industry. Tom retired in 1987, as the General Manager of Wilco Farmers. In 1954, he married Harriet Nizic.   Survivors include his wife; sons, Tom (Peggy) and Larry (Linda); daughters, Patty, Aileen, and Barbara; sister, Helen Anderson; brothers, Joseph, John, and Lawrence; and grandchildren, Taylor, Nicole, and TJ.   The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10 at St. Luke Catholic Church, Woodburn.  Remembrances may be made to the St. Luke Conference of the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
