Anthony Napoli Obituary

Anthony Constantino Napoli, age 86, of St. Augustine, passed away peacefully on Jan. 17, 2015, at the Bailey Family Center for Caring, surrounded by his family. Born and raised in New York City, Anthony proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war he returned to New York, and married the love of his life, Carrie. He was a devoted husband and the two were married for 63 years prior to her passing in 2013; it was a match made in heaven. Anthony was a proud member of the N.Y.P.D. where he served in the Emergency Service Unit for 21 years, retiring in 1977. He and his family moved and lived for many years in Suffern, N.Y. Anthony also was a very skilled mechanic and enjoyed working for the Armonk Garage during his retirement years. Anthony enjoyed vacationing, and exploring the country with his family and friends in his travel trailer. He was a member of San Sebastian Catholic Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Grace Ann Stevens (Dan) of St. Augustine; sons, Michael Anthony Napoli (Eileen) of St. Augustine, John Napoli (June) of Deltona; a sister, Lee Romano of Modena, N.Y.; grandchildren, Christopher Napoli, Melissa McGraw, Jonathan Napoli, Anthony Napoli, Brianne Pagliardini, Michael Napoli (Shannon), Andrew Napoli, Carrie Pisani (Tom), Danny Stevens (Jessie) and Brian Stevens (Elizabeth); and great-grandchildren, Vittoria Pagliardini, Giancarlo Pagliardini, Tommy Pisani, Grace Pisani, Taylor Napoli, and Hannah Grace Napoli.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at San Sebastian Catholic Church, with Father John Gillespie, officiating. A committal service with military honors and interment will follow at San Lorenzo Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to: Bailey Family Center for Caring, c/o Community Hospice of NE FL., 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville, FL, 32257.
St. Johns Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
