Faustina "Tina" Ashton

Faustina ""Tina "" Ashton, 92, of St. Augustine, Fla., peacefully passed away at the Samantha R. Wilson Care Center at Bayview May 6, 2015. Tina was born to Vincent and Rosadell Triay in Elkton, Fla. She married Lloyd J. ""Cotton"" Ashton in 1944, and they had two lovely daughters, Linda and Gail. Tina and Cotton loved to dance and were members of the Ballroom Dancing Association at the Riverview Club of St. Augustine. She was also an active member of the Menorcan Cultural Society in St. Augustine. She worked for many years as the bookkeeper for Broudy's Grocery and Liquor Store. Tina was a devout wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and devout member of San Sebastian Catholic Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by mother and father, her beloved husband ""Cotton"", and her grandson, Norman ""Curt"" Moody III, son of Gail.
Tina is survived by her daughters, Linda (Joseph) Clark, of Tampa, Gail (AJ) McGuinness, of St. Augustine; grandchildren, James Clark and Melinda Clark, of Tampa; and great-grandchildren, Phaydra and Christina Clark, of Tampa.
There will be a visitation from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday with prayers at 6 p.m. at Craig Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held at at 11 a.m. Wednesday at San Sebastian Catholic Church with burial to follow at San Lorenzo Cemetery.
