Jackie Hunt, 80 of Collinsville, IL passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022.
There will be a celebration of life on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Pietro's Restaurant at 3801 Watson Road in St. Louis from 11 a.m. -
3 p.m.
Jackie was born December 28, 1941, in Rolla, Missouri to Dalton and Nellie Ryno Rowlan. She married Glenn Hunt in November of 1970. Jackie is survived by her three children, Doug Huskey of Ellsworth, IL, Brian (Amy) Hunt of Chicago, IL, Dawn (Matt) Melton of Brunswick, Maryland, six grandchildren, Andrew Huskey, Joshua Huskey, Sophia Hunt, Isabel Hunt, Christopher Melton, Jackson Melton, one great-granddaughter Julia Huskey, one sister Pat (Leroy) Rigsby of Fenton, MO and one brother Derrel (Kerry) Rowlan of Tucson, AZ.
Jackie worked more than fifty years as a self-employed hair stylist, retiring in 2015. She loved scrapbooking and ceramics and traveling the world. She was close to her family and especially loved her grandchildren. Nothing made her happier than the cooking and baking during the holiday season. It is said "she makes the best gooey butter cookies, hands down."
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
