This wonderful man was our professor at Marshall University and abroad in London. We were privileged to be not only his students but friends. We babysat for his children. Our deepest condolences, Lisa Fredeking and Sara Jane Wilson

Jim and I were classmates in Mount Carroll High School, in northern Illinois. We had about 45 students in our class. Jim was always excellent in school, and he played in the band. His father headed the Mt. Carroll National Bank, so Jim learned about the arts and about finance at an early age. He went to Carleton College, in Northfield, MN, later earned an MBA at Indiana University. My wife and I met him once at the art museum in Columbus, Ohio, and other times at the reunion of the class of '57 back in Mount Carroll, Illinois. He was a valuable citizen of the world, who is, and will be missed.
