To The Schiel family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I only met Joe one time but I heard much about Joe from his little brother Tom who was one of my very best friends before he passed. Tom had great admiration and respect for his big brother Joe. Tom lived his life wanting to be like Joe and from what I've read from other people today, Joe deserved that respect. It sounds like he was a wonderful man and a wonderful leader. Mr. And Mrs. Schiel should be so proud to have raised such a fine man. They say behind every successful man is a strong and supportive woman and I'm sure that describes Joe's wife... I wish I would have had more time to be around all of the Schiel family as I have great respect for their character.

My sincere condolences & prayers to your entire family. Joe took a chance & hired me at a very critical time in my life. I will be forever grateful for that. He was a great manager, leader & friend that you always knew you could count on. My fondest memories were of my times working for Joe at Sanofi. He always talked with pride of his wife and boys.
