Linda "Kelly" Mueller

Mueller, Linda Kelly passed away suddenly on January 21, 2018. Kelly was the daughter of the late James A. Kelly and Fern Oesterle Kelly, life-long residents of St. Louis. For all of her accomplishments in life, Kelly was most proud of her loving, close-knit family. She is survived by her two children, Ryan Mueller of Venice, Fla., and Jamie Van Nostrand of Minneapolis, Minn.; and grandsons Jackson Van Nostrand and Ryker Van Nostrand, who will greatly miss their Grandmommy. Kelly was the sister of three older siblings, James Kelly (Mariam Noland) of Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich.; Jean Kelly (Carl Garske) of Auburn, Calif.; and Charles Kelly (BJ) of Roseville, Calif. She was especially close to two nieces, Christi Kemper of Columbia, Mo.; and Beth Karlsson (Nik) of Greenbrae, Calif. She will be missed by all in her extended family. Kelly graduated from Ladue Horton Watkins High School, Ladue, Mo. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri and a master's degree from Maryville University in St. Louis. For 30 years she taught K-12 as well as workshops and classes at Maryville University. In 2001 Kelly achieved National Board Certification as an Early Childhood Generalist and established an informational network for teachers seeking certification. Services: There will be a memorial service for Kelly at the Ethical Society (9001 Clayton Rd, St. Louis, Mo. 63117) on February 24 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Forest Park Forever or the Missouri Botanical Garden.
