Robert C. Johnson

Johnson, Robert C. died suddenly on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the age of 89. He is survived by his faithful wife of 60 years, Shelley Haertter Johnson; his three children, Robert M. Johnson, Scott H. Johnson (Suzanne) and Deborah J. Baldwin (Richard); grandfather of Connor and Sam Johnson, Eloise, Richard and Beecher Baldwin. Bob served in the U.S. Navy in WWII, joining up in 1944 when he was just 17. He graduated from Washington University and was later awarded his J.D. from the University of Virginia in 1953. He practiced law in St. Louis from 1955 until his retirement in 2010. The highlight of his legal career was arguing and winning a case before the Missouri Supreme Court and starting his own law practice. Services: The family will receive friends at THE LUPTON CHAPEL, 7233 Delmar Blvd., University City, on Sunday, December 18 from 4 p.m until 8 p.m. A private family service will be held at Ladue Chapel Presbyterian Church.
