Beloved husband of Alma DeBasio Davis; dearest father of Andrew O. Davis (Florence), Christopher B. and John W. Davis, Jennifer T. Parker (Joshua) and Jon C. Thomas; dear grandfather of Samuel C. Davis; cousin and a dear friend to many.Services: A Memorial Service will be conducted at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Ladue, 110 North Warson Road at Ladue Road on Friday, June 2 at 11:30 a.m. The interment at Bellefontaine Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Ducks Unlimited, Southern Regional Office, c /o Johnny Belz, 193 Business Park Drive, Suite E, Richland, MS 39157 or to the charity of one's choice.
The family will receive friends at THE LUPTON CHAPEL, 7233 Delmar Blvd., University City, on Thursday from
4 p.m. until 8 p.m.

I am so sorry to hear the news of Sam's passing. He was a great friend of Riverview School on Cape Cod and through my work there we became good friends. He was always an enthusiastic leader and supporter of "Chris's School." Davis Sports Field in the center of the campus is a symbol of his vision and caring for the special students who enjoy it every day.
Sam's commitment to special causes inspires me now that I have moved on to work with adults who have disabilities.
Alma, Chris, Andrew, John and the whole family, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

Sam was such a wonderful neighbor. We admired his intelligence and gentleness. I am so grateful to him for finding a copy of the Pioneers of the Madison Valley book for me. I had been looking for twenty years. We will miss this sweet man. With love to Alma and the family. Lathie and Lee Poole
