Dorian Scott Eleuterius, age 61, passed away in Troy, Alabama on Monday, September 18, 2017.
Scott was born in Biloxi, Mississippi and was a member of the Biloxi High School Class of 1974. He was a member of the Biloxi High Marching Band and the Biloxi High School Alumni Band. He played in numerous local and touring bands, including Nicholas, Ariel, and Pressure Point, before he was seriously injured in 1979. He lived in Biloxi for most of his life before moving to Troy, Alabama. He loved listening to blues and rock & roll and watching news on TV, and he was always willing to tell a corny joke to make you smile.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Shannon and Dorothy (Bilancich) Eleuterius and brother Frederick "Ricky" Eleuterius.
He is survived by his brother Rocky (Libby) Eleuterius, sisters Lorraine Magrath and Rhanda Hertling, and nieces Michelle (Joe) Greene, Christi Magrath, Kim (Andrew) Meyers, Mia (Brad) Palazzo, and Angie (J) Holland, and many great nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Patsy.
Services will be held at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe in Biloxi, on Sunday, September 24, 2017. Visitation is from 11:00-12:30. The funeral service will begin at12:30 with interment following at Biloxi Cemetery. All are invited to proceed to or join the family and friends for fellowship and Celebration of Life at The Ocean Springs Elks Lodge,2501 Beachview Dr., Ocean Springs, immediately following interment. The music will begin at 4:00 pm (give or take a few minutes). Any in attendance are welcome to sit in and help send Scott's spirit to the heavens!
