Ida Holloway. Obituary

Mrs. Ida Jane Rankin Holloway. A long and productive journey came to a close upon sunrise Sunday, June 27, 2010. Mrs. Ida Jane Rankin Holloway was born July 27, 1939 in Smith County, Mississippi, to the late Mack Rankin and Emma Parker Rankin.

Ida was a member to Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church of Gulfport under the leadership of the Rev. Lee J. Adams. She was a dedicated employee of Holiday Inn/Marriott Hotels for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter and two brothers.

She leaves to cherish loving memories of her a loving and devoted spouse: Mr. L.C. Holloway of Gulfport MS; three sons; Mr. Keith Holloway and Mr. Gregory Holloway both of Gulfport, MS, and Rev. Arthur Milton of Magee, MS; four sisters; Maxie Alexander of Forest, MS, Wilma Longmire of Las Vegas, NV, Betty Hatley of Laurel, MS, and Carolyn Keys of Raleigh, MS; three brothers, Larry Rankin of Gulfport, MS, Billy Rankin of Forest, MS and Peter Puckett of Birmingham, Ala., 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church in Gulfport, MS, where friends may visit 1 hour prior to services with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

House of Richmond is in charge of services.
