Michael McKenzie Obituary
Michael McKenzie, age 49 and a resident of Gulfport, died on Friday, December 14, 2007 in Pascagoula.
Michael was born on January 21, 1958 in Hattiesburg. He was employed with Just Rite Building Supply in Gulfport and was a member of Big Level Baptist Church in Wiggins.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Hollis & Mary Ann Kelly McKenzie of the Big Level Community and a nephew, Matthew McKenzie Butler.
He is survived by his daughter, Megan Destin McKenzie of Gulfport, his son, Joseph Chance McKenzie of Gulfport; his sisters, Michelle (Gene) Butler of McHenry and Lisa Couey of Perkinston; his brother, Kelly McKenzie of Dahlonega, GA; his aunt, Margie Kelly Culpepper of Seminary, his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Kelly of Grand Bay, AL; his nieces, Rebecca Butler (Brandon) Tyree of McHenry, Morgan and Kristin McKenzie of Long Beach; his nephews, Jonathon (Erin) Couey of Perkinston, Nathan (Crystal) Couey, and Stephen Couey all of McHenry; one great niece; four great nephews; and numerous cousins, friends, and co-workers.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 17, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at THE RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11213 Highway 49 North in Gulfport.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Big Level Baptist Church, 1346 City Bridge Road in Wiggins, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Big Level Baptist Church Cemetery.
