Shirley was an awesome and inspiring person, she never let her illness get her down and always had a smile and kind word for those she came in contact with. I shall miss her... but, I also know she is in the arms of our Lord, pain free and at peace.

My love and prayers go out to you, Dennis, Nola, Jackie, and family. Shirley really was the most happy, giving, and thoughtful person. She was truly unique and inspiring. She always had that big Kingston smile on her face. Dennis you were a wonderful husband. Even though our lives were so far apart and many hugs too short, I will miss her dearly! This is a Very difficult "passing." My thoughts and prayers are with you all!

Dear Kelly Family,
We are so sorry to hear the news that Shirley has passed away. We all remember fondly your time in DE at IHM. So many good times. Shirley had such a special-Southern-hospitality-way about her. She was a friend to be cherished with her pretty smile, sense of humor, and caring ways. God bless all the Kellys during this difficult time. Sincerely, The Abessinio Family

Dennis, Sarah, Kathryn, Dennis Jr. and family...Shirley was a dear college roommate and bridesmaid in my and Larry's wedding. We have always maintained a relationship through the mail, yet we had a chance to get together in Asheville, North Carolina in 2010, when Dennis and Shirley were celebrating their anniversary. When we met it was just like the 1970s. We talked, cried, mostly laughed, and shared stories of our loved ones. What an amazing friend/mother/wife we have all lost! Our prayers are with you all!
