My memories of you are so vivid; calling me and your uncle regularly; sharing good times with our family; easy to talk to about anything; such a loving personality telling me "love you" each and every time before you would hang up. God knows how much I miss that. And your personal innuendos that remind me of my loving brother-your father-whom you talked about so much and you & I loved so much. Wish you were still here! Your nieces and nephew to this day REMEMBER you! and they ask about your father, their grandfather when they see pictures of the two of you. Tell my brother hello in heaven! In Life we all learn things. Although we were never as close as I liked I leanred something from you. I learned to never take for granted or hold a grudge on anyone for anything. For tommorrow is never promised. You are a perfect example of that. I am just mad I had to learn this lesson losing you. I know that one day we will meet again and that meeting will be one that will be so sweet and blissful. There isnt a day that goes by that I dont think about you or the decision I made and the way i treated you. Allthough you are gone you are long from forgotten. I miss you and you will always be with me. I will make sure the kids grow up to know about you also.

We are in good spirits as we cherish memories of you these past few weeks. December 11th was a special day you came to our school for Multicultural Night, on December 13th another special day, the day your father died and on that memorial date you decorated the Christmas tree at our house and placed a special red cross on the centermost branch. On this date we were just laughing at one of your grandfather's joyful mechanical toys and I remembered how you thought it was so funny the way the toys danced, sang and made music.
Your nieces and nephews still ask questions about you. You left a lasting impression in their young minds. Although we miss you and my heart still hurts from your loss, your spirit still abounds us with your charming words of “love you� and your beautiful smile and laughter from moments of happiness during your short life on earth. Thank God I have your recorded message from Christmas 2008 to cherish.

Carl went home to be with the Lord on January 8, 2009. In his brief life he was able to share a lot of love with his family and friends. We are grateful of the fond memories, special stories and moments that were just “Carl.” He will be sorely missed. The moments we shared with Carl will be cherished and kept in our hearts forever.
