Johnny at the University of Tampa you were #24. You were everyone's best friend. We all loved you as a friend and a team mate.
I was fortunate after so many years to see you one last time while you were in Boston.
Thanks for being my friend. I will miss you. #27

I knew John when he 1st came into his own at Cocoa High School. It was new to him but in very short while became a Starter. Was disappointed when his family moved to Southern Florida. I am sure he is sorely missed by family and friends.

My heart goes out to all friends and family of John. I also played ball with him in '66 and he was without a doubt the best running back on our state championship runner up team. May God bless you John in the Kingdom of Heaven.

I was part of Coach Baird's first head coaching job at Plantation H S in 1981-82. He came in my junior year moved me from defensive tackle to linebacker. I really didn't want to make the move. He promised me it would pay off in the future. It did my Senior year. Coach Baird made me an All-State linebacker. He was a great man and a great coach. Its been many years since we've crossed paths. Your in a better place now. RIP! !
