Lester Terry Jr. August 9, 2011 Lester Terry Jr., 54, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday at the Francis House with his family and friends by his side. Born in Varnville, SC, he has been a resident of Syracuse since he was 10. Mr. Terry served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a former employee of New Process Gear for 25 years. He was an entrepreneur and he loved music. Lester is survived by his wife, Francina Terry; parents, Lester Sr. and Evelena Terry; two daughters, Jessica Lynn Terry and Eshella Haygood; son, Lester Haygood; sister, Lisateen McClain; four brothers, Lendae, Glen Sr., Norman and Ronnie Terry Sr.; special nephews, Chadwick Stewart and Ronnie Terry Jr.; 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted, Monday, 11 a.m. at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 1034 Montgomery St., Syracuse. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery.
