Don Sheffield Obituary

Don Wayne Sheffield, 60, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 30, 2010 at Oakland Cemetery, Tallahassee, Fl. Family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. prior to service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Big Bend Hospice, 1723 Mahan Center Blvd., Tallahassee, Fl. 32308. A Leon Co. native, he attended FSU, was a carpenter, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by three brothers, William Edward Sheffield (wife Bettie) of Edison, Ga., Ralph Randall Sheffield (friend Carol) of Blakely, Ga., and Jimmy Dale Allen of Arizona; one sister, Deborah Sheffield Scarborough (husband Charles) of Tallahassee; and a special aunt and caregiver, Margie Folsom of Tallahassee.

Although it had been a while since I'd seen Don, I remember an always-smiling face. He and his smile will be missed.

I did not know Don Wayne was so sick. I feel he is certainly in a better place now. God bless Aunt Margie for her unselfishness in caring for Don in his final days.
