Kenneth Geist Obituary
Kenneth Lee Geist, 77, of Carlisle, died Monday, June 10, 2013, at his home. He was born on Sept. 14, 1935, in Alburtis, a son of the late Harry Geist and Margaret (Reinert) Geist Bauer. Ken was an independent truck driver for many years. After his driving career, Ken was employed with Carlisle Tire & Wheel and Carlisle Syntec. Ken enjoyed doing string art, puzzles and home renovations. He was a member of AARP and the American Automobile Association. Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Amelia M. (Hall) Geist; his children, Deborah (and her husband Michael) Abelovsky of Jim Thorpe, David (and his wife, Barbara) Geist of Allentown, Ruthann Geist of Fogelsville and Lucile (and her husband, Joel) Maletsky of Allentown; brother, Clyde R. (and his wife, Angie) Geist of Perkasie; sister, Jean Gambler of Macungie; stepbrothers, Dallas and Nevin Bauer of Alburtis; stepsister, Nancy Beitler of Alburtis; adopted son, Isaiah Hall-Geist at home; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by a son, Randy Geist, a stepsister, Delores Kehm; and two grandchildren. Services: Arrangements are being handled by Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, where a viewing will be held from 12:30 p.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013. Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Walter R. Reed officiating. Interment will be at Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens, Carlisle. Please visit www.Since1853.com for condolences. Pappy it´s 9 years you left us! Not a day goes by I don´t think of you or miss you or wish I could hear that famous "you got that right" hope that your watching over all of us and with us. I miss you very dearly!! I love you pappy!!

Dad she was 95 I made a mistake she lived a long HAPPY LIFE. But Missed her Husband Joseph. Said her PRAYERS Every Day. All she would say to Michael was I want to go home to Daddy. The last couple of years . We would have talks Michael would come home and tell me that all the time. And he would always say I never thought my Mom would go to the age of 95 years old. But she was always a STONG Woman. But she Had a Good Life he would say. He is a little better today. I Pray to God that he will Guide us Both through this time. Specially For my Husband Michael. Love you Dad.

Dad I am light a Candle for Michael's Mom & you, she Passed on October 20th 6:30 in the morning. It is finally Hitting Michael today. The Funeral is on Monday and I think that after that it will REALLY HIT HIM HARD!! You know before when you where with us. He took Care of Everything for his Mom he was a Son that went to see her Every Weekend. Was in charge of paying her bill making sure she had Everything she need. At 85 years old she is at Peace with God and her Husband now. And with you in Heaven. I Love You Dad & Miss You Dearly. All of this Brings back a lot of MEMORIES For Me it also makes it Hard for Me to be Strong for my Husband. And being upset about his Mom & also makes me think of you. Love you XOXO

Hi, Dad, I still think of all the time we spent and all The GOOD TIMES AND LAUGHING THAT WAS THE BEST THING WITH US. I really MISS THAT. I Miss You So Much I think I will never Get Over that!!! Now you have 5 grandchildren Anthony and Jennifer Adopted 2 Children a sister Malijah and brother Devon are sister and brother. They live in North Carolina. We go down to see them Every Christmas for at least 5-6 days. The Best part I Saved for last I am a Great Grandmother. And you are a Great Great Grandfather. Dad you would Love him. His name is Connor Patrick ODonnell, March 30 2019 time 3:47 am 6 lb, 9oz. 19 Inches. I am going out to see Connor in 2 weeks in Mount Zion IL. Hi, Dad I know it has been a long time I have talked to you. But Remember when I Promised I said back in 2011 that I would (Quit Smoking)when you where in the Hospital and I was there with you for that week. Well I have last year August 25th 2014. I know it took me this long. but for ME and You I had too. And to find out what was going on in my Lungs made me Even More Wanting to (QUIT) for my self and you. Because I know and seen what you had gone through. And I know I do not want that and I did (PROMISE YOU) I am so proud that I am doing this for my self, for my Health and that I said I would do it for you.But I Really have to do it For ME and my Husband and Kids and Grand Kids and Family.I Miss You So Very Much. This the time of the year that we would be out looking and working with the Flowers and Trimming Trees. All of the holidays where not the same this year without you, the kids and i use to call you from moms and we would all get to talk to you. Not a day goes by that i do not miss you or think of you, i know you see my house that you wanted to see and i know you where with me when i had my accident.
