Larry Schmidt Obituary

Larry V. Schmidt, 62, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2007, at VNA Charlier Hospice Center. He was born Jan. 18, 1945, in Evansville.

Larry was a member of St. Benedict Cathedral Parish. He served in the National Guard. He worked at Whirlpool for 11 years and retired from ALCOA after 32 years of service.

Larry had a passion for classic cars and loved the Frog Follies. He also loved animals.

Larry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Marcia C. Schmidt; daughters, Cindi Schmidt and Mindi Smith; and granddaughter, Lilli Smith.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2007, at St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Ave., officiated by Father Gregory Chamberlain, with burial at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit today from 3 to 8 p.m. at Alexander East Chapel, with a memorial service at 7 p.m. Prayers will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at Alexander East Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Benedict Cathedral, 1328 Lincoln Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 or VNA Charlier Hospice Center, P.O. Box 3487, Evansville, IN 47734.
