Lizzie M. Rhodes Lizzie M. Rhodes, 85, a retired nurses assistant, died Thursday, Dec. 11, 2003. The service will be at 11 a.m. EST Saturday at Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church, with burial at Southside Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. EST Friday at the chapel of Strong & Jones Funeral Home (224-2139). Viewing will be from 9 a.m. EST until the service Saturday at the church. Family will assemble for the funeral at 10 a.m. EST Saturday at 1436 Kingford Ave. She was a native of Bainbridge, Ga., and had lived in Tallahassee for many years. She was a member of Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church and the mother's board, the Matron's Auxiliary, Old West Florida Women's Congress, Old West Florida Matron's Auxiliary, the Order of the Eastern Star and the Florida State Primitive Baptist Church Association. She is survived by six sons, Deacon Jessie Kelly, Charles Kelly, George Rhodes, Sinclair Rhodes, Obadiah Rhodes and Elijah Rhodes, all of Tallahassee; a goddaughter, Tearesa Anthony of Tallahassee; 17 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; six godchildren; and other relatives and friends.
