Stephen Harrison Obituary
Stephen Chris Harrison died peacefully at his home in Tallahassee on Sunday, May 1, 2016, at the age of 55.
Chris is survived by his mother, Gwenn, wife Barbara of Tallahassee, son, Sean and wife Brittney and granddaughter Mills of Columbus, MS, son Tyler and daughter Shelby of Tallahassee. He is preceded in death by his father Harold Harrison of Ft. Walton Beach.
Chris was born on August 30, 1960, in Valparaiso, Florida. He graduated from Choctawhatchee High School in 1978. He married Barbara Franklin in 1982. Over the next 14 years, the couple welcomed three children into their home. His children remember him as a wonderful father who taught them the values necessary to lead successful and faithful lives.
Chris was accomplished at managing collision centers, most recently Gerber Collision Center, and was often recognized for his shop's productivity. He was a devoted individual who loved his family, NASCAR, Florida State and Tennessee Volunteer football. He was an active and dedicated member of Thomasville Road Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 7, at Thomasville Road Baptist Church at 2:00 pm, with the funeral service following at 3:00 pm. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Miracle Network (https://donate.giving.ufhealth.org/cmngeneral).
