Eleanor M. Graham

Eleanor M. (Mersey) Graham, 73, of Somerset, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of the late Raymond J. Graham Jr. Eleanor was born in Fall River the daughter of the late Wilfred V. and Ann V. (Malady) Mersey. She was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School class of 1959. She began working at the former Fall River Knitting Mill as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Graham then raised her family. Eleanor then drove bus for the Fisher Bus Company in Somerset and then as a cashier at the former Grand Central Market in Somerset, retiring when the market closed. She was a foster parent along with her late husband to eighty seven children. She was a lifelong member at the United Methodist in Somerset and was a longtime Girl Scout Leader and Big Sister. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Mrs. Graham also enjoyed playing Keno and traveling. Survivors are a daughter: Eleanor M. Graham of Somerset; a son: Raymond J. Graham III, and his wife Pamela of Jefferson City, TN; two grandchildren: Raymond IV and Joy Fraser; three great grandchildren: Jaxon, Landon and Leah; two sisters: Marjorie Cadoret of Westport; Beverly Ann Ainsworth of Westport, along with several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Robert, Wilfred and Edward Mersey. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11am in the United Methodist Church, 841 Read Street, Somerset.
