John SAVAGE Obituary
92, of Safety Harbor, passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, Jan. 25, 2015 at Suncoast Hospice in Palm Harbor. He was born Oct. 4, 1922 to John and Hazel Savage in Philadelphia, PA. John retired from Xerox, Webster, NY. He also proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed being a ham operator and was an all around handy man. He worked on maintaining their cars to building homes for his family. Including "the cottage" on Eagle Island, Sodus Bay, NY. John was predeceased by sister, Ruth; and brothers, Robert and Richard. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 69 years, Vera (Edgerton) Savage; daughters, Jackie (Val) Pruneau of West Boylston, MA, and Bonnie (Pete) Savage of Fulton, NY; sons, John G. Savage III of Rochester, NY, and Jeff Savage of Ontario, NY; brothers, Dave (Dot) Savage, Lakeland, Tom (Evelyn) Savage of Palermo, NY; eight grandchildren, Mark, Michelle, Jessica, Jennifer, Michael, Geoffrey, Amanda & Sadie; five great-grandchildren, Victoria, Caroline, Grace, Elizabeth, and Jake. A memorial mass will be held 11:30 am, Thursday, March 19, at All Saints Catholic Church, 2801 Curlew Road, Clearwater, followed by the inurnment at Curlew Hills Memory Gardens. A New York memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Lewy Body Dementia Association or Suncoast Hospice.

Ive known this man most of my life I have never met a more kind and generous,patient man.he will be greatly missed im sure heaven will have a special place for jack.I was one of the lucky ones to have known this special man and I will cherish the memories always. Spunk and Family

My heart is heavy and the tears flow down my face. I know you are at rest now Dad. But that doesn't make it any easier to have you gone from this world. I miss you and love you more then words can say. You were the best Dad a girl could ask for. You and Mom have always been there for me..... I hold you close to my heart. Thank you Dad, for being you.
