Sandra STERNFELS Obituary

STERNFELS, Sandra Harris

(Lee) "Sande" of Tampa died August 3, 2018. She was born in Boston, MA in 1932 to Nathan P. and Annette B. Harris and was married in 1953 to Martin Morris Sternfels (Jr.) who died in 2004. Boston University graduate, proud Red Sox fan and lifelong liberal; she was tolerant and supportive of all and always had something nice to say to everyone. She leaves behind her daughter, Julie Beth and "son-in-law" Will Talbert; son, Peter and his family (wife, Christine and children, Cameron and Denyse); her long lost grandson, Chase Sternfels; sister, Nancy Joy Horvit and her family (husband, Michael), and her grandkitties. Sande retired from her education career as a superintendent of schools in New Jersey and moved to Tampa in 1986. Here, she made many friends through her second career in retail, then volunteered everywhere with her much-loved Marty. Her beautiful, beautiful smile, optimistic outlook and effortless style and class will be forever missed. Thank you, Melech Hospice House for your special care. Instead of flowers, Sande would have preferred that you donate to, or volunteer time with, the organization of your choice.
